On the afternoon of May 11, 2023, Chinese young accordion player Professor  Jingyang Wangattended an academic lecture at the Art Garden Building Concert Hall of our School of Music and Dance. The lecture was hosted by Li Wenhao, the head of the Instrumental Department of our college, and the teachers and students of the Instrumental Department listened to the lecture together.

This lecture is one of the "Jincheng Qinyun" Accordion Art Festival series events hosted by the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Accordion Professional Committee of the Gansu Musicians Association, and the Lanzhou Grand Theatre in 2023. Wang Jingyang shared with the teachers and students present her experience as a Lanzhou girl growing up to become the most promising young performer in China, as well as her learning experiences at the Central Conservatory of Music and foreign music schools, the curriculum and various project learning and reflection at the Vienna Municipal University of Music and Arts, and interacted with our faculty and students. These not only broaden the horizons of our faculty and students, but also inspire and guide students to plan their own music development and learning paths.
