Wang Jingyang, a young Chinese accordionist, was first studied in the prestigious Affiliated Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music and later graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing China. Wang was taught by Professor Cao Xiaoqing(the first Chinese who has been awarded the “Master Soloist Diploma”). She is currently studying at the Music and Arts University of the city of Vienna (Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien) under the instruction of Professor Grzegorz Stopa.
Performances/Artistic activities
- In June 2013, Wang was selected and recommended by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education of China to participate in cultural exchange activities in Moscow. During this musical performance, she collaborated with the Presidential Orchestra at the Kremlin, performing the accordion concerto "Shehuo" adapted by Chinese composer Dai Bo based on the work of composer Huang Anlun. Wang delivered a solo performance in this event.
- In 2017, Wang held a solo classical accordion concert at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong City Hall.
- In 2019, as a member of the "Liu Shanshan Tango Orchestra," She gave numerals performances in several Poly Cinemas nationwide.
- In the same year, Wang participated as an accordionist in the play "MOMO", starring artists Ge You and Wan Qian, at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China.
- In 2021, she joined the Chinese "Saint Mirror New Century" Chamber Orchestra as a key member,held and participated in multiple concerts. As a classical accordion player, Wang Jingyang is able to demonstrate different playing styles and perform with her band on the stage of the top jazz venue -Blue Note.
- In 2022, Wang participated in the annual Vienna Modern Festival and premiered a four-hour-long work "Ceremony II" by internationally renowned contemporary composer Georg Friedrich Haas at the Vienna Art History Museum.
- In 2023, she performed Alban Berg's adaptation of Johann Strauss Jr.'s "Wine, Women, and Song Waltz" with a string quartet at the Golden Hall of Vienna.
- In May 2023, Wang collaborated with saxophone professor Michael Krenn and percussionist Rupert Struber at the Salzburg Art Society and Goldegg Castle for a week, holding three concerts.
- In August 2023, she participated in the Master Class at the Arosa Academy of Classical Music in Switzerland receiving a scholarship and the Hans Schaeuble Award.
- In March 2024 Participated in the Arosa Classical Music Festival in Switzerland, giving three concerts in Arosa, Kur and Zurich, Switzerland;
- In March 2024, participation in a concert of works by Rebecca Saunders, one of the most influential composers of our time, in the glass hall of Musikverein in Vienna;
- In July 2024,Invited by the 74th CMA World Accordion Championships to participate in the CMA Academic Series and to give a recital.
Wang Jingyang has held numerous solo and chamber music concerts in major theaters in China, including the Guangzhou Opera House, Changsha Concert Hall, Zibo Poly Theater, Qidong Poly Theater and so on.
As a young artist in China's new generation with original ideas and responsibilities, Wang has always been transmitting her unique insight of music to more people through actively participating in various international and cultural activities such as community events, national music fairs, and local classical music venues.

- First place in the Children's Category of the 50th Klingenthal International Accordion Competition in Germany
- First place in the Youth Category of the 2017 Shenzhen Baoan International Accordion Competition
- First place in the Youth Category of the 5th National Accordion Competition "Parrot Cup"
- First place in the Youth Category of the 42nd Castelfidardo International Accordion Competition in Italy, also receiving the "Special Award" in that category
- Trird prize in the 2023 30th Arrasate Hiria International Accordion Competition in Spain
- First prize in the artist category at the 2024 14th International Accordion Festival "Accordion Art" in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
